Understanding Dr. Gundry’s Plant Paradox
If you spend a lot of time reading about diet plans and healthy recipes’ blogs then you have definitely heard of something called The Plant Paradox. This is a revolutionary new diet plan from Dr. Steven Gundry giving out a strategic lifestyle change aimed towards keeping us healthy. Right now, you are probably wondering every new diet plan coming in the market always promises wild revolutionary changes without delivering actual results so why would the Plant Paradox be any different? Well, this information should help you understand why this unique plan is highly recommended.
Plant Paradox Diet Plan
The Plant Paradox Diet is more of a lifestyle change than a dietary plan. Dr. Gundry, like many other specialists, believes that a lifestyle change delivers the best and long-lasting improvements to people’s health.
In this plan, Dr. Gundry tries to break the idea that all plants are good for our health and that consumption of vegetables and fruits guarantees healthier lives. There are plants out there that are never safe for our health. Every living organism has a defensive mechanism and plants are no different. Most plants produce a protein referred to as Lectin which is a known toxin. In the plan, Dr. Gundry takes us through some of the plants that we should avoid due to such toxins e.g. Grains, Legumes, Soy, nightshades etc. He also goes further to pinpoint why it is vital to eat fruits in seasons.
Dr. Gundry also comes up with an alternative to the USDA food pyramid. The new pyramid has already been used by so many people and this is mainly because it gives far better results compared to the initial pyramid which resulted in increased cases of obesity.
The pyramid in the Plant Paradox plan pays close attention to the base level where you are advised to eat more cruciferous veggies, leaves and healthy oil. At the top of the pyramid, you find red meat that should be eaten less often i.e. once or twice per month. According to Dr. Gundry, eating too many fruits is not as beneficial as most people say. Fruits have high levels of sugars that can be harmful to your health. He, therefore, recommends the eating of fruits in moderation.
Who is Dr. Gundry and why should we try his Plant Paradox Dietary Book?
Dr. Gundry is a renowned heart surgeon who used to head the Cardiothoracic Surgery department at Loma Linda University. Currently, he’s the lead at the International Heart and Lung Institute in Santa Barbara and Palm Springs.
Throughout he’s years of practice, Dr. Gundry realized that most conditions can easily be dealt with before they get out of hand to the extent of requiring a procedure. This is why he came up with the incredible plan that has seen the number of patients on his theatre bed reduce significantly. This, of course, means that as a surgeon his income has reduced but on the brighter side he has changed the lives of lots of people for the better.
The Plant Paradox Diet book is an exceptional plan with eye-opening facts about the foods we consume. The book is also packed with some of his approved recipes for making different kinds of healthy foods and drinks such as soups, muffins, pizzas, cakes, burgers and ice creams. Yes, ice cream! Dr. Oz and Tony Robbins are all fans of Dr. Gundry and that speaks volumes.
This book is highly informative and that is why it has been published by HarperCollins the same publishers of JFK and Mark Twain. It equips you with vast knowledge on how to lead a healthy life supported by healthy foods. Whether you want to get on a diet plan or not the Plant Paradox book, which is available on Amazon, contains useful information that cannot be overlooked.
If you are experiencing digestive problems, obesity or other chronic diseases then you really should try out the diets in this book.
